30+ Years and Counting

Ron has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience.  Hebegan his career in the trenches at Polimeni Realtyas Leasing Director, focused on both company-owned assetsand properties owned by 3rd party investors. This early experience laid the foundation for what was soon to follow.

Taking the Next Step

After having been recognized three times as leading producer at Polimeni, Ron founded Epstein Real Estate Co. “ERECO” was focused on tenant representation on behalf of regional and national retail brands.  Among his exclusive clients were many QSR and fast-casual chains,where he gained experience in the thorny area of entitlement and ground-up development.  The skills cultivated during this time set the stage for the next step in his career: Commercial Development.

Going Global

In 1999, Ron reunited with his colleagues at Polimeni – this time as Partner & Executive Vice President of Polimeni International.  In this role, Ron spearheaded a remarkable journey that included launching a pioneering development program in Poland, while simultaneously helping to repositiona new portfolio acquisition in the highly competitive New York tri-state area.

Under Ron’s direction, the international team successfully developed six retail projects overseas, amounting to an impressive 1.4 million square feet and some 300 tenants from across Europe.  This endeavor was marked by the team’s having to navigate myriad legal jurisdictions and tax regimes, three currencies, six time zones and multiple languages. The fruits of their labor were evident when Ron accepted consecutive awards for “Shopping Center of the Year” at the prestigious 2007 and 2008 Central & Eastern European Retail Awards Conference.

Consulting & Collaboration

Shaking the dust off in the years following the 2008 financial collapse, Ron’s entrepreneurial spirit served him once again, when in 2011 he founded Baltic America Properties. Here, he structured a dynamic team of independent contractors, offering a platform for investors seeking to expand in Poland. Notably, Ron collaborated with the largest French national pensionfund to draft and co-sponsor a bid for a $190 million off-market retail portfolio owned by a privately held London-based hedge fund.

Back to Basics

Returning to the United States, Ron used this experience to advise investors, developers, and retailers in his own back yard (plus maybe the neighbor’s back yard) in New York State. One of his standout achievements was the planning and co-sponsorship of an $80 million Public-Private Partnership (PPP) proposal for a multifamily/structured parking facility in Huntington Village.

Continuing to Deliver

Recognizing their astonishing success in growing rapidly to become the 2nd largestresidential brokerage on Long Island, In 2019 Ron joined forces with Realty Connect as AssociateBroker to initiate and ramp-up a commercial division, aptly named RCCommercial Partners. Combining Realty Connect’s industry-disruptingbusiness model and his own commercialexperience, RCCPhas already closed more than a hundred million dollars intransactions and have quickly made their markas a major player in the region

His Word is His Bond

Ron said that the most meaningful complimenthe’s ever received came from a colleague on the Poland development team who said, “we were always happy to do whatever you needed, because you never asked us to do anything that you weren’t willing to do for us as well.”

Applying the Golden Rule to clients, partners, and employees alike,from the beginning of his career to this very day, Ron continues to under-promise, over-deliver, to create value, and most importantly, to create lasting relationships.
